Qualifiche di accesso | Diploma di Laurea (laurea di primo livello) To enrol in the second cycle degree program in European Legal Studies, international applicants must hold a first-cycle degree (i.e. Bachelor’s degree) gained after at least 3 years of University education. They must meet specific admission requirements and demonstrate a suitable academic preparation and a solid legal and economic background. Academic requirements are - 15 ECTS credits in the domain of Private Law, also Comparative, or Public Law, also In relation to the fulfillment of academic curricular requirements, the admission Committee can grant a margin of flexibility of a maximum of 10% of ECTS credits applicable to each sector. This flexibility can be awarded where the student’s profile demonstrates appropriate knowledge and expertise in the relevant areas. Personal preparation of the candidates will be verified by an admission Committee composed of faculty members in charge of evaluating applications. Several elements contribute to the evaluation of the candidates’ personal preparation: - the curriculum vitae In any event, the Committee reserves the power to assign an additional preparation for the candidates to obtain a positive evaluation of their profiles. On the occasion of the interview, the Committee will also verify the candidates’ English language proficiency, that shall be equivalent to at least a B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Applicants are kindly invited to pay attention to the fact that European Legal Studies does not constitute an LLM program. It is a 2 years program which, according to the Italian academic system, allows students to get a second cycle degree (Laurea magistrale). Panoramica
An innovative post-graduate Master Programme in advanced European, international and transnational legal studies entirely in English.
The Master Programme offers a broad, advanced education on a wide range of subjects related to European and international law, the protection of fundamental rights in the framework of multilevel constitutionalism, including substantive EU law, comparative and global administrative law, transnational private law and dispute settlement.
Lectures and seminars held by academics and external experts are supplemented by innovative and interactive teaching activities. Students are offered the opportunity to participate in legal clinics and in international moot court competitions in the context of the Moot Courts Programme of the Law Department (Jessup Competition, Vis Moot, European Law Moot Court, Concours d’arbitrage international de Paris).
