To enrol in a second-cycle degree programme (i.e. master’s degree) with no admission quotas, you must hold a first-cycle degree (i.e. bachelor’s degree) of at least a 3 year-duration.
Solid disciplinary background certified by at least 9 ECTS credits in General Linguistics; at least further 27 ECTS credits in at least two of the following sectors: General Linguistics, Linguistics or Philology of Classic or Modern Languages; Theoretical Philosophy; Philosophy of Language; Sociology of Language; Anthropology.
The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: Italian / English / French / Spanish.
Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original.

The Master’s degree in Linguistic Sciences aims at providing students with a strong knowledge of linguistic theories and methodologies (both on a diachronic and synchronic perspective) to apply these skills to the scientific description of linguistic systems and to the treatment and the linguistic and practical analysis of linguistic data from a variety of textual typologies. Students will learn to collocate linguistic phenomena in the social and cultural dynamics’ frame of the communities where they emerge.
Il corso di laurea magistrale in Scienze linguistiche si propone di formare laureati magistrali che, acquisita una solida conoscenza delle metodologie e delle teorie linguistiche (sia in prospettiva sincronica sia diacronica), abbiano la capacità di applicare tali competenze alla descrizione scientifica dei sistemi linguistici, nonché al trattamento e all’analisi concreta di dati linguistici appartenenti alle più diverse tipologie testuali. Dovranno anche essere in grado di collocare i fenomeni linguistici nel quadro delle dinamiche sociali e culturali delle comunità in cui questi si manifestano.
