First cycle diploma ( BA, Ungergraduate diploma)
To enrol in a second-cycle degree programme (i.e. master’s degree) with no admission quotas, you must hold a first-cycle degree (i.e. bachelor’s degree) of at least a 3 year-duration.
In order to achieve the number of required credits, you could either take courses of the following areas: Italian literature, Language and Greek Literature, Language and Latin Literature, Museology and art criticism and restoration, History of medieval art, but not more than 12 credits.
Personal preparation of the candidates will be verified by an oral test (via Skype).
The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: Italian / English / French / Spanish.
Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original.
These documents shall be written or translated in one of the following languages: Italian, English, French, Spanish. If the document is issued in a different language from those listed above, you will have to upload both the original document and its certified translation.
You must take the original entry qualification documents along with you when you finally go to the university.
Your knowledge of Italian language will be verified during the admission interview.

The second cycle degree in Archaeology and Ancient History aims at deepening the knowledge of specific issues, with regard to archelogy, Ancient history and preservation of cultural heritage.
The degree programme also aims at providing graduates with theoretical knowledge necessary to carry out professional tasks – such as specialized researchers at preservation and research institutions, or in study units at public and private institutions both Italian and foreign (Authorities, Museum, State Archives, Cultural Centres and Foundations, Publishing houses, journalistic editing, etc.).
The objective is to train experts who possess necessary competences both to approach the study and the interpretation of archaeological contexts and materials and to understand in-depth historical events of reference. Thanks to the educational activities considered by this degree programme, students will acquire a good knowledge of historical ages and of geographical regions related to them – from Proto-history to Middle age and from Middle East to West.
Il corso di laurea magistrale in Archeologia e Storia antica si propone di consolidare una conoscenza approfondita delle problematiche specifiche relative all’archeologia, alla storia antica e alla conservazione dei Beni culturali. Il corso si propone inoltre di fornire ai laureati magistrali conoscenze teoriche utili per svolgere compiti professionali, che siano specialistici in organismi di ricerca e di tutela, nonché in unità di studio presso Enti e istituzioni pubbliche e private, sia italiane che straniere (Soprintendenze, Musei, Archivi di Stato, Centri e Fondazioni culturali, case editrici, redazioni giornalistiche, etc.).
L’obiettivo è quello di formare specialisti in possesso delle competenze necessarie per affrontare lo studio e l’interpretazione di contesti e materiali archeologici e per comprendere in modo approfondito gli avvenimenti storici di riferimento. Gli studenti impareranno a conoscere, grazie alle attività formative previste dagli ordinamenti del corso di laurea, le epoche storiche e le regioni geografiche interessate, che vanno dalla Protostoria al Medioevo e dall’Oriente all’Occidente.
