First cycle diploma ( BA, Ungergraduate diploma)
To enrol in a second-cycle degree programme (i.e. master’s degree) with no admission quotas, you must hold a first-cycle degree (i.e. bachelor’s degree) of at least a 3 year-duration. You will also need to meet specific admission requirements and demonstrate adequate personal knowledge.
Candidates must have a solid background, which can be also certified by 10 ECTS credits or 2 exams passed in Sociology and Methodology of social research or social sciences.
Personal preparation of the candidates will be verified by an oral interview in Italian and/or in English, also via Skype.
The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: Italian / English / French / Spanish.
Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original.
These documents shall be written or translated in one of the following languages: Italian, English, French, Spanish. If the document is issued in a different language from those listed above, you will have to upload both the original document and its certified translation.
You must take the original entry qualification documents along with you when you finally go to the university.
Your knowledge of Italian language will be verified during the admission interview.

The aim of the second cycle degree in Sociology is to develop competencies for analysing contemporary societies, on the basis of a consistent theoretical and methodological education. The last one is going to be studied in depth regarding both the qualitative and quantitative methods. Depending on the career chosen, the competences can be oriented in three directions:
a) the study of the cultural changes and of the issues regarding the identities in global societies;
b) the study of inequalities, of the differences and of the citizenship models;
c) the study of transformations of economy and work, of the modality the markets function and of the organizations.
Il corso di laurea magistrale in Sociologia mira a sviluppare capacità di analisi delle società contemporanee, sulla base di una robusta formazione teorica e metodologica. Quest’ultima viene approfondita tanto nel campo dei metodi qualitativi che in quello dei metodi quantitativi.
A seconda del piano di studi prescelto, le competenze potranno essere orientate in tre direzioni:
a) lo studio del mutamento culturale e delle problematiche dell’identità nelle società globali;
b) lo studio delle diseguaglianze, delle differenze e dei modelli di cittadinanza;
c) lo studio delle trasformazioni dell’economia e del lavoro, delle modalità di funzionamento dei mercati, nonché delle organizzazioni.
