In 2020 the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs launched the Universitaly portal, which allows Non-EU candidates residing abroad to submit their visa pre-enrolment application entirely online. This is the first step to take in the visa application procedure for study purposes.

Therefore, all applicants requiring a visa for the University of Turin need to apply ONLINE via the Universitaly portal. We invite you to regularly check our webpage for more information.

We remind you that this procedure applies exclusively to international students who require an entry visa for Italy for long-term stays.

The procedure does not apply to:

- citizens of European Union Member States, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and the Swiss Confederation; of the Republic of San Marino and the Holy See, even if holding a foreign qualification;

- foreign citizens already legally residing in Italy.

Once you start the procedure, we kindly ask you to regularly check your Universitaly account and your email Inbox for any updates regarding the visa request process.

Finally, please be informed that the decision on the issue of a visa for study purposes is in the exclusive jurisdiction of the diplomatic/consular Mission. And that the documentation produced by higher education institutions with regards to the single applicants is to be considered in support of the evaluation procedure of the diplomatic Missions, but does not automatically imply the issue of the visa.
