Overview

The bachelor’s degree programme in Chemistry and Chemical Technology aims at training students with a sound basic knowledge in a multiplicity of disciplines related to chemistry. Moreover, it aims at providing graduates with career opportunities in chemistry and chemical industrial fields which require familiarity with the scientific method, ability to use current chemical theories and methodologies – also the innovative ones – and ability to use complex equipment.
The degree programme in Chemistry and Chemical Technology will provide students with basic knowledge in: organic, inorganic, physical, analytical, biological and resources chemistry. It will highlight also the basic aspects of environment chemistry, the principles of sustainable development, of “green chemistry” and of new European regulations in chemical substances risk assessment and classification.
The educational path establishes a period in which the student will be provided with fundaments of various chemical subjects, together with the essential physical and mathematical tools necessary to deal with them with scientific rigor. The educational path provides students also with in-depth study of a foreign language.
